Autumn Leaves
Eyes full of Autumn
Eyes full of Autumn

You are my Autumn
Dampened azure eyes
Amber eyelids
Welling up with sap

Honeycombs and toffee
Perfect efficiency
Stuck to my skin
Flypaper kisses

Your breath is an antonym
Hot against the cold wind
A challenge to Gods
A plea to the living

The light from your eyes
A whirlwind of passion
Reflects off the frozen pond,
You desperately crack.

You see your falling leaves as displeasing
As a flaw in your nature
“The dying season”
A habitual decay

Habits aside
There is no winter
No spring, no summer
Without the fall of the beautiful

Beauty disregards decay.
